Welcome New Faculty!

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Joseph Markelon to the middle school teaching team at Saint James School! Mr. Markelon will be teaching 8th grade Literature, 7th grade English Language Arts, and one section of 7th grade Math.

Mr. Markelon is a graduate of Taylor University in Indiana and is currently completing his master’s degree at Quinnipiac University. He is certified in Connecticut to teach English and Social Studies and also holds a state coaching license.

Mr. Markelon brings a wealth of diverse classroom experience to our school community, including student teaching in Los Angeles, Ireland, and on the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico. Most recently, he has been working at Canton High School and coached the Ultimate Frisbee team at Avon High School this past spring.

We are excited to welcome Mr. Markelon to the Saint James School community and are confident he will be a wonderful addition to our middle school teaching team.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Mr. Dwayne Harris for serving as our long-term substitute in these subject areas. We are grateful for Mr. Harris’s continued dedication to Saint James School as both a parent volunteer and substitute teacher!
