Kindergarten – Grade 8 Enrollment Procedures:

STEP 1:

Call the school at 860 643-5088 or email Admissions@SaintTeresaCatholic.org to request information and/or schedule a tour.  You may also complete our Information Request Form.

STEP 2:

10/1/26: Applications for the 2027-2028 school year are now open!

Complete our online Application Form. Please note a non-refundable $30 fee will be collected during the application process.  Applying early is strongly encouraged as most classes have limited space available for new students to join.

Please note, as part of the application and admissions process, you will be asked to submit copies of the following:

1. A copy of your child’s Birth Certificate
2. A copy of your child’s most recent standardized test scores (if applicable)
3. A copy of your child’s most recent report card
4. A copy of any planning/placement/special services reports pertaining to your child
5. A copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
6. A completed Kindergarten Transition Form (for students entering Kindergarten from a preschool other than Saint James)
7. A current State of CT Health Assessment Form with immunizations

Starting in February, our admissions department will contact families to schedule a Kindergarten Screening or Placement Test (Grades 1-8).

We also strongly encourage new students entering grades 2-8 to “shadow” a current Saint James School student for a day prior to acceptance.  This helps your child get the full experience of coming to our school and allows us to get to know your child a little better.  This can be scheduled for the day of their placement test.

STEP 3:

The first round of new student acceptance letters will be emailed to families home in March.  For later applicants, acceptance letters will be sent based on space availability as well as completion/review of of all necessary paperwork and assessments.

Once you receive your acceptance letter, in order to secure a spot for your child, the completed family registration documentation and tuition contract must be completed by the deadline noted in the acceptance letter.  Along with the paperwork, a registration fee will hold a spot for your child(ren).  This is a non-refundable fee, however it will be applied towards your annual tuition amount.
