New Instrumental Music Director

Saint James School is pleased to welcome Eric Barakat as our new instrumental music program director!  Mr. Barakat brings a wealth of experience, and has been overseeing the instrumental music program (Future Musicians) at several other area Catholic schools for many years.  He has a BA in music from UConn and is looking forward to carrying on the tradition of instrumental music at SJS following Mr. Corcoran’s retirement this past June.

The first day for lessons will be Wednesday, September 10th.  All band students in grades 5 – 8 should bring their instruments to school that day.

On Thursday, September 4th there will be an instrument demo for students in grades 4. On Monday, September 8th Mr. Barakat will have a parent meeting at 6:00pm in the cafeteria for all Gr 4. – 8 families that would be new to the SJS band program this year.
