Recently SJS 7th & 8th grade students had an opportunity to visit the construction site for the new library, and receive an informational tour from the team at O & G Industries.

Students learned about various careers in the construction industry, ranging from on-site operations and skilled trades to engineering and project management. The team highlighted the core skills essential across all roles, including effective communication, adaptability, a strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork. They also spoke to the value of financial literacy, noting that responsible budget and resource management is vital when overseeing multi-million-dollar projects.
