Book Fair Next Week!

Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held at Saint James School next week in the school gymnasium!! The book fair is a great way to encourage reading and build home libraries. It is also a great way to support our school as 50% of all purchases go directly to the school!

All students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair with their class. Our youngest students in PreK – K will make a “Wish List” on Monday.  Wish lists returned on Tuesday morning will be filled by our parent volunteers. Please return the wish lists even if your student is not planning on purchasing books so we can reshelve these items for other students to purchase.

1st through 3rd grade students will also make a wish list on Monday, and then they will have a secondary opportunity to visit the fair to purchase the items on their wish list on Tuesday. Students in Grades 4-5 will visit the fair one time (Tuesday) to make purchases. Middle School will also visit the fair one time, on Wednesday.

Please send along a shopping bag for your child’s purchases on their buying day.

**Due to the limited availability of pennies, it may be difficult to make exact change for your student.  Please consider rounding up your purchase as a contribution to our Share the Fair Funds, or using eWallet.**

 

eWallet
Students can make purchases at the fair via cash, check, or eWallet. The eWallet option is a convenient option that avoids children having to carry money to school. PLEASE NOTE: Any unused funds from last year’s eWallets must be transferred to a NEW eWallet. You can do this by logging into your Scholastic account, adding a new eWallet and loading your unused funds onto the new eWallet. Also be sure to open an eWallet, NOT an eGiftcard.

 

Parent Shopping Hours
The book fair will be open for Parent Shopping Hours on Tuesday & Wednesday from 7:15-7:45am and 1:30-2:30pm. Please enter via the gym doors (students are welcome to shop with you!).  Parents who visit the fair will be able to enter a raffle so we encourage you to stop by!  This will also give you the opportunity to purchase books for your child’s classroom teacher.

 

Online Book Fair
Our book fair is available online from 9/28 to 10/2 by clicking HERE.  All books ordered online will be shipped directly to your home and any book-only orders of $35 or more will ship for free. Please do keep in mind that online orders earn 25% profit for the school, not the same 50% as purchases made in-person at our fair.
